A little background

For more than 40 years, INTER-HOTEL has been « The Hoteliers with an accent ». The accent, or rather all the accents from the four corners of France.

It was in 1967, at the initiative of a group of independent hoteliers from the south west of France that INTER-HOTEL was born. At the beginning, a non-profit making organisation ('association loi 1901'), the structure became, in 1982, a management company , the SEH (Société Européenne d'Hôtellerie). Five years later, the chain installed its central reservation centre in Paris.

In 1988, the group became a limited company. The hoteliers became more involved, with the set up of a ' Conseil de surveillance' (board) made up of elected hoteliers representing the different French regions. Today, INTER-HOTEL is made up of more than 280 hotels located throughout France, gaining major success with leisure and business travellers alike, as well as tour operators and travel agents. The principal group of two and three star independent hotels in France, INTER-HOTEL is above all a spirit and a philosophy which guarantees the know-how of hotel professionals who love their job and their region, and who are faithful to the French tradition of hotel management. A tradition continued by different establishments, united by the typical representation of their region, whether located in the centre of town, or along tourist routes. All members of the INTER-HOTEL network are motivated by the same ambition: satisfy their clients to the best of their ability.
